The DS3800NGMA is a general-purpose I/O communications board for Mark IV systems—the “G” in the suffix indicates general-purpose functionality, the “M” indicates I/O capability, and the “A” is a manufacturing revision. This board was used in installations where the standard fiber boards (NFCF, NFCD, NFDB) or the NGDC didn’t have the right configuration for the application.
